Dilip Deka - From Isolation to Independence

Abandoned after losing his job in Kerala during COVID, Dilip lived in a shed-like home in Bhurbandha with no caregiver. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia. After nearly two years of persistent follow-up by CMHP's community health worker — mixing medicines into food, regular counselling and family engagement — he recovered fully. Today Dilip works as a daily wage labourer and supports his family independently.
