Widowed at 27 and humiliated by SHG members over unpaid loans, Khuntota was rendered almost completely mute by severe depression. An ASHA worker informed the community health worker. Within two months of CMHP treatment and compassionate follow-up, her silence gave way to speech. Today she weaves, cultivates, and has resumed SHG repayments with her dignity fully restored.
